Welcome to The Shaun Tabatt Show! In this episode I speak with Terry Brennan about his new novel The Aleppo Code (Kregel, 2015).
About the Book:
Will the code reveal history's most powerful weapon for destruction--or humanitys only hope?
The living members of Tom Bohannon's band of adventurers gather again in Jerusalem--physically battered, emotionally exhausted, spiritually challenged, and in various stages of shock--to examine a copy of the tenth-century Aleppo Code, the oldest complete text of Jewish scripture. What the clues inside reveal could lead to the reuniting of the Ark of the Covenant with its true source of power, a weapon that could lead to victory for this ragged bunch trying to save the world.
Hunted by the relentless assassins of the Prophet's Guard and caught in the web of an international conspiracy plotting the conquest of Europe, Bohannon's team searches the ruins of Ancient Babylon. Their search lands them amid the chaos that engulfs western Iraq, but they must press on to accomplish one of the most pivotal pieces of end-times prophecy. This intrepid group will uncover secrets that require them to risk everything for their faith, their country, and the peace of all mankind.
Unfolding against the backdrop of an Israeli/U.S. strike against Iran and the planned economic overthrow of the European Union by the sinister, secret head of the international Muslim Brotherhood, The Aleppo Code is a heart-pounding race. Brennan takes an epic story on a grand scale and tells it primarily through the eyes of one man who is desperately trying to save the world as he follows God's purpose for his life.
About the Author:
Terry Brennan is the award-winning author of The Sacred Cipher and The Brotherhood Conspiracy, the first two books in The Jerusalem Prophecies. He is also a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and has received the Freedoms Foundation award for editorial writing. Welcome to The Shaun Tabatt Show! In this episode I speak with Nabeel Qureshi about his new book Answering Jihad: A Better Way Forward (Zondervan, 2016).
About the Book:
From New York Times bestselling author and former Muslim Nabeel Qureshi comes this personal, challenging, and respectful answer to the many questions surrounding jihad, the rise of ISIS, and Islamic terrorism.
San Bernardino was the most lethal terror attack on American soil since 9/11, and it came on the heels of a coordinated assault on Paris. There is no question that innocents were slaughtered in the name of Allah and in the way of jihad, but do the terrorists’ actions actually reflect the religion of Islam? The answer to this question is more pressing than ever, as waves of Muslim refugees arrive in the West seeking shelter from the violent ideology of ISIS.
Setting aside speculations and competing voices, what really is jihad? How are we to understand jihad in relation to our Muslim neighbors and friends? Why is there such a surge of Islamist terrorism in the world today, and how are we to respond?
In Answering Jihad, bestselling author Nabeel Qureshi (Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus) answers these questions from the perspective of a former Muslim who is deeply concerned for both his Muslim family and his American homeland.
About the Author:
Nabeel Qureshi is a speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He holds an MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School, an MA in Christian apologetics from Biola University, and an MA in religion from Duke University.

Welcome to The Shaun Tabatt Show! In this episode, I speak with Sommer Floyd about her new album Ray of Light.
About Sommer Floyd:
If you look up "The Girl Next Door" in the dictionary, chances are the definition will be accompanied by a picture of Sommer Floyd.
Born and raised in the Texas Hill Country, Sommer was an honor roll student, gifted athlete, beauty queen, and genuinely nice person. Voted "Class Favorite" by her high school classmates, Sommer was the quintessential cheerleader, earning four individual high school All American designations, and three team National Championships.
Attending college on a cheerleading scholarship, Sommer was designated a college All American as a freshman, an almost unheard of accomplishment. She ran on the varsity track team, played tennis, showed livestock, participated in rodeos, earned her Deep Sea Diving certification...
Oh, and she sings.
While Sommer certainly has all the credentials for The Girl Next Door, she is also 100 percent human. And she is the first to admit, in addition to all the accolades, she has made her share of mistakes.
"As a teenage girl I disappointed myself with some of the choices I made," she confesses.
One of those choices resulted in an unhealthy relationship, and the out-of-wedlock conception of her daughter, Heidi.
Broken-hearted, at the lowest point of her life, Sommer returned home to her loving, supportive family where she dug deep into God's faithfulness. As she reconnected with the God of her youth, songs began to pour forth.
"Putting my brokenness on paper helped to get me through the hard times," Sommer says, "and the lyrics started to turn into worship."
Sommer's experience of brokenness and restoration resonated strongly throughout her community, opening doors for her to share her music and lead worship at churches and charity events throughout the Texas Hill Country.
Her fetching vocals, ear-pleasing melodies and spiritually mature lyrics caught the ear of multi-Dove Award-winning producer, Steven V. Taylor, and Sommer soon found herself in Franklin, Tennessee with some of Nashville's finest musicians, recording her debut CD at the legendary Dark Horse Recording Studio.
Ray of Light is slated for release in May, 2016.

Welcome to The Shaun Tabatt Show! Today I'm live at NRB 2016 and I'm speaking with Ginger Sanders about her new books He Goes Before Us and Round Eyes.
About the Books:
God is not surprised by any storms in our lives. In fact, we often see Him most during these difficult times. As a rapid response chaplain for the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team, Ginger Sanders has seen Him firsthand. She shares her experiences and those of other chaplains in He Goes Before Us, a collection of thirty-one stories from the front lines of both natural and man-made disasters.
Trained and often sent out on a moment’s notice when catastrophe strikes, the chaplains give physical, emotional, and spiritual care to those who need it most. From the floods of Iowa to the scene of the horrific theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado, Ginger and her fellow chaplains continually see God at work. Lives are changed and souls are saved through His amazing hand.
Each story in this collection is unique. Chaplains pray with a group of teenagers after the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy, save a man on the verge of suicide, and help a Japanese woman turn to Christ. In every situation, the chaplains see the dramatic presence of God even before they arrive, proving that only God can orchestrate these situations.
Filled with love and hope, He Goes Before Us is an uplifting and moving testament to the power of the Gospel.
Round Eyes is based on the true story of Jamie, an adopted son, first realizing he is slightly different from his parents. It helps children and parents to understand that what is on the outside is just how people look; what is on the inside is what really counts. There is joy when families can laugh together, knowing the love for each other is what makes a difference. We know we have a God who is answering prayers around the world and delights in bringing happiness and hope to families.
About The Author:
Ginger Sanders is a Chaplain Coordinator with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team. Ginger and her husband, Denny, have responded to many disasters such as tornados, floods and nature storms; but also to Aurora and Sandy Hook shootings. Welcome to The Shaun Tabatt Show! In this episode I speak with author Brian W. Thomas about his new book Wittenberg Vs. Geneva: A Biblical Bout in 7 Rounds on the Doctrines that Divide (New Reformation Press, 2016).
About The Book:
What are the differences between Lutherans and Calvinists, and do they really matter? In Wittenberg vs. Geneva, Brian Thomas provides a biblical defense of the key doctrines that have divided the Lutheran and Reformed traditions for nearly five centuries. It is especially written to help those who may have an interest in the Lutheran church, but are concerned that her stance on doctrines like predestination or the sacraments may not have biblical support. To get to the heart of the matter, Pastor Thomas focuses solely upon those crucial scriptural texts that have led Lutheran and Reformed scholars down different paths to disparate conclusions as he spars with popular Calvinist theologians from the past and the present.
About the Author:
Brian W. Thomas is a Lutheran pastor, writer, and speaker from the Pacific Northwest. He has had the privilege of serving churches in California and Washington, lecturing at the University of San Diego, and teaching the Bible all over the world. He is the pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Kingston, Washington. Connect with Brian:

Welcome to The Shaun Tabatt Show! In this episode, I speak with worship leader Daryl Boyer about his new album The Cleansing: A New Creation, A New Identity, A Brand New Day.
About Daryl Boyer:
Daryl grew up spending most of his life in Jackson, Michigan and is currently living In Ocean City, New Jersey with his wife and 3 daughters. Daryl grew up loving all things music, and quickly realized that music centered around worship to Jesus was an even greater experience. Daryl was an active part of his church and youth group growing up and went on to attend Spring arbor University to study music ministry and education. It was during this time Daryl had his first opportunities ministering on a larger scale while leading two different music groups at various churches and concert venues as they traveled around playing music and talking about the Lord. During this time he was able to really gain his deepest insight into the love of God and really begin to see how important his role was in music to help bridge that gap in the worship experience as an instrument of God. "There is something beyond words within the collective worship experience when a room full of people seeking the Lord are singing at the top of there lungs pouring out their hearts as one. " There is something amazing about a church congregation choosing to step out and make a vow before God that they want more, they want to go deeper.
As Daryl continued to recognize his calling to connect people to God in a deeper experience through music and teaching, he was led to step out into various positions over the span of the last 16 years ranging from Youth Pastor to Worship Director. Along with continuing to serve within various church callings, Daryl has maintained his songwriting and desire to bring uplifting music to people across the world through various recordings and concerts. Along with the music, God has led Daryl's pursuit to now intertwine intense worship with a teaching focus that will draw our churches back to a sold out, on fire form of Christianity. The aim of Daryl's worship and targeted teaching focus, is to relight a fire for the move of the Holy Spirit in our daily walk. We must learn to yield to the Holy Spirit living in us to be empowered to walk in the power and Authority God intended us to. "God wants for us to walk tall, Drink deep from the flow of the Spirit, press in with unshakable faith, and be fully filled up in Him. In Christ we can shine brightly like the sun piercing through the darkness. We can be strong and bold, and full of Godly flavor in a world that is watered down. The world is thirsting for the flow of the Lord to make them new and flood there hearts with love and truth." (Daryl Boyer)

Welcome to The Shaun Tabatt Show! Today I speak with Robby Dawkins about his new book Identity Thief: Exposing Satan's Plan to Steal Your Purpose, Passion and Power (Chosen Books, 2015). In this interview we discuss the following:
About the Book:
Since the Garden of Eden, our true identities have been hacked--stolen and reprogrammed by Satan.
We were made for great things . . . but we live as though we're powerless. We were made in the image of a limitless God . . . but we walk through our daily lives as though we're inadequate.
God has an amazing plan for us. And the enemy is short-circuiting it.
When we don't recognize who we really are, we limit God. But when we grasp the truth of who we are in Christ, we can walk with authority into the realm of power reserved for each of God's children. We can heal the sick, cast out demons and deliver the captives.
We can see miracles and make a lasting impact for the Kingdom.
Don't settle for the glass ceiling constructed from the enemy's lies. Break through it. Exchange fear and doubt for a life of radical possibility.
Reclaim your true identity . . . and change the world.
About the Author:
Robby Dawkins travels extensively as an itinerant minister, writer and speaker, crossing denominational lines to equip believers in power evangelism. He's spoken in more than 45 countries, including some of the most dangerous nations, and has been featured in numerous documentaries and media outlets. He and his wife, Angie, have six sons and live outside the Chicago area.
